Small Investments, Lasting Impact
January 16, 2026

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with support from the European Union and Sweden under ENPARD IV, empowers smallholder women dairy farmers in Georgia. This initiative provides vital knowledge and matching grants to significantly improve the food safety of their products.

Thousands of farmers have attended FAO Farmer Field Schools, gaining expertise in animal health, safe production, and good veterinary practices. Additionally, hundreds received matching grants, enabling them to procure essential dairy production equipment for enhanced efficiency and product safety.
