Wisdom Keepers

About This Website

There are fifty+ channels on YouTube bringing the voices of wisdom keepers to the fore, most publishers are indigenous communities. We support the sharing and preservation of sacred wisdom teachings, the very foundation of sustainability principles and practices, and offer EarthSayers as a "connecting tool" working towards the idea of One Voice through this special collection and other vidoes on EarthSayers such the series, Native Perspectives on Sustainability.

We are grateful to the individuals and organizations who are using the world wide web to present and spread the indigenous voices of sustainability.  A proposal is in progress to obtain funding to create a wisdomkeepers.tv, worldwide, in 2019.

Finding Out the History of Native People by Gabrielle Tayac

What if the native Wicomiss of Maryland had never encountered the colonists? What if they had thrived to become a modern culture and civilization? What would our towns look like in this alternative universe in the 21st century? Gabrielle Tayac, an historian at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, helps us imagine it.
