Interfaith Call to Inclusion and Gathering November 10 Portland

Published on Nov 15, 2016

Short video on the rally called by members of an Interfaith Alliance supported by Rev. Michael Ellick and Rev. Elizabeth Simson Durant of the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
The gathering was held on November 10th at Pioneer Square in Downtown Portland.  Leaders and members from a wide variety of faith communities were called together to "stand against the legitimization and normalization of bullying, name calling, threats of deportation, building walls, and ‘privileged’ behavior that is celebrated and without consequence. We are standing for peace and seek to build bridges to make a better and more ‘beloved community."
