Agri-FIT for inclusive agriculture in Jordan
February 26, 2026

The Agri-FIT project revolutionizes inclusive agriculture by removing physical barriers for persons with disabilities. It features a specialized soilless farming system, designed with universal principles, allowing wheelchair users and those with mobility impairments to manage, prune, and harvest vertical crops independently using an innovative plant-stem lifting mechanism.

Beyond ergonomics, Agri-FIT combines social equity with environmental sustainability. This soilless technology optimizes water use and boosts productivity, fostering autonomy and skill development. The project transforms agriculture, enabling individuals to build livelihoods and contribute to a sustainable food system.
