Rural women constitute nearly 60% of Tajikistan's agricultural workforce, performing key tasks in farming and livestock. Despite their vital role, many remain unrecognized, working informally with limited access to resources, training, and decision-making. Expanding equal access to knowledge and opportunities is essential for more productive farms, stronger families, and resilient agrifood systems.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) collaborates with rural women to strengthen skills, improve resource access, and ensure fair recognition for their work. Connect with FAO: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Weibo. Learn more at fao.org.
