Our solutions reporting spotlights the ideas and initiatives of people building a better world. Our commentaries address dominant economic, political, and social structures and consider alternative ways of thinking that can produce a more equitable and Earth-friendly world. 

Founded in 1996, Yes! Magazine is a non-profit, ad-free magazine that covers topics of social justice, environmental sustainability, alternative economics, and peace. Issues of Yes! explore a specific issue in depth, and provide resources so that readers may become involved in that issue. Previous issues have covered solutions to the energy crisis, local economies, and water preservation. 

This special collection includes the videos referenced in our magazine as well as those of our partners that we feature on our YouTube channel.

Magazine, City Lights, and The Land Institute present “How to Get Off Fossil Fuels Quickly—and Fairly.” Stan Cox, author of The Green New Deal and Beyond, will join his Ecosphere Studies colleagues Wes Jackson, Aubrey Streit Krug, and Robert Jensen in a discussion of the need for climate policies that go far beyond new technology, carbon taxes, and other market-based approaches. The event is hosted by Breanna Draxler, Climate Editor at YES! The speakers will explore the fundamental changes that our society will have to go through in order to adapt to strict ecological boundaries.
