The "Just Transitions" panel took place on June 25, 2025, as part of the Global Women's Assembly for Climate Justice: Path to COP30 and Beyond, hosted by the Women's Earth and Climate Network (WECAN) from June 23-28. Panelists included gina cortés valderrama (Colombia), Lorraine Chiponda (Zimbabwe), Serena Mendizábal (Canada), Ayshka Najib (UAE), and Margaret Kwateng (USA).

Organized by WECAN, the Assembly convened over 125 grassroots and frontline women leaders, global advocates, and policymakers from 50 countries. Across 25 unique panels, speakers presented diverse visions, projects, and strategies to accelerate a bold and transformative path toward a healthy and just world.

A reactivated global Corporate Leaders Network (CLN) was launched at COP27 on November 11. Its aim is to catalyze national business advocacy on climate policy, uniting policy, NGO, and international business stakeholders to manage risks and seize opportunities in the transition to a low-carbon society.

Building on relationships fostered by Corporate Leaders Groups (CLGs) since 2010, the CLN formally re-establishes collaboration with global business groups. It will support the creation of new corporate leaders' groups worldwide, strengthening the network. Previous members are reinvited to join if their missions align.

Four years later, he and a group of riders began retracing a 330-mile horseback route from South Dakota to Mankato, Minnesota. This annual ride culminates at the hanging site on the execution's anniversary, fostering healing and reconciliation.

Humanitarian aid volunteer Scott Warren faces up to 20 years in prison for providing food, water, and shelter to two undocumented migrants in Arizona's Sonoran Desert. An activist with Tucson-based No More Deaths, Warren is charged with three felony counts of "harboring" undocumented immigrants.

His arrest on January 17, 2018, occurred hours after No More Deaths released a report and video detailing U.S. Border Patrol agents intentionally destroying over 3,000 gallons of water left for migrants. Authorities subsequently raided "the Barn," a No More Deaths aid camp, where the two migrants were found. This story was published by Democracy Now! on May 29, 2019.
