SEF2025 - Sustainable and Clean Cooking : accelerating the energy transition in African Kitchens

Wood and coal cooking remains a widespread practice across Africa. Experts recently convened to discuss how the continent can effectively manage the transition away from these traditional methods towards more sustainable alternatives.

The panel featured Messaouda MOHAMED LAGHDAF (Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development of Mauritania), Justine LUMUMBA KASULE (Minister of General Affairs of Uganda and ARFSD Chair), HH Princess Sophia WOLKONSKY and Thato RAPHAKA (Vakana Alliance), and Mohamed Abdellahi OULD BABAH (CILSS). Lewnis BADAOUI moderated the session.
