Biochar: Using fire to cool the earth
September 10, 2019
The International Biochar Initiative proposes that we bake organic waste (from food production, gardening, even sewage) to convert it into a toxic-free, multi-purpose material known as biochar. The process ultimately has a positive effect on the planet, which is why Project Drawdown rated biochar as one of the top 100 ideas that can reverse the effects of climate change. In this session, we'll get to grips with the science and the technology, and we'll find out how the IBI proposes to tell the world about the benefits of biochar.
