In its final weeks, the Trump administration is rapidly constructing border wall miles. This effort involves bulldozing protected public lands, dynamiting mountains, and destroying habitats vital for endangered species.

President-elect Joe Biden pledged "Not Another Foot" of wall would be built under his leadership. He is expected to fulfill this promise immediately upon taking office on January 20, permanently halting further construction.

Later, as a professor at Miami-Dade College, she contributed to the Earth Ethics Institute, which integrated Earth Literacy into the college's curriculum and operations.

Currently, Diana focuses on educating her community about the harms of single-use plastic. She collaborates with the South Florida Plastic Coalition, advocating for reduced single-use plastic use in her county.

A new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report details the extreme environmental harm caused by the U.S.-Mexico border wall built under former President Trump. Constructed without environmental reviews and despite Native Tribes’ concerns, the wall destroyed critical habitats, killed countless saguaro cactuses, and impacted endangered species like ocelots and jaguars. The GAO now recommends the federal government repair this damage.

The "Reconciling Ways of Knowing Series, Dialogue 3: Braiding Ways of Knowing" featured Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of *Braiding Sweetgrass*, in conversation with Dr. Nancy Turner. They explored how Indigenous and scientific ways of knowing can be integrated, drawing from Dr. Kimmerer's work on traditional ecological knowledge and moss ecology.

Project founders Miles Richardson, Dr. David Suzuki, and Elder Dr. Dave Courchene, Jr. joined the discussion. They connected Dr. Kimmerer's insights to the project's objective: building better relationships across diverse knowledge systems and achieving improved stewardship outcomes.

The Trump administration is pushing to construct a border wall through Big Bend National Park, a crown jewel of America's national heritage. These plans would wall off critical river access points, isolating wildlife from their only water source, the Rio Grande. Such construction would also destroy cultural sites and lock the river behind a steel barrier, an act of political vandalism, not security.

We have been fighting border wall construction for years. Learn more about our work: www.biologicaldiversity.org/campaigns/border_wall/. Join the fight: call your Congressional representatives at 202-224-3121. Urge them to protect Big Bend by stripping federal funding for border walls in the region.

The Trump administration is threatening Big Bend National Park, a national heritage site, by planning to wall off river access points. This 517-mile sector, a vital part of the U.S.-Mexico border, faces imminent construction.

Such a wall would cut off wildlife from the Rio Grande, their sole water source, destroy cultural sites, and lock the river behind steel. This move reflects a disturbing disregard for public lands, seen as political vandalism rather than security.
