Yurok tribal leader Sammy Gensaw and environmental scientist Craig Tucker share the epic story of the Klamath River dam removal, the largest in history. This unprecedented project, driven by Indigenous leadership and non-Indian allyship, represents a watershed moment of co-equal decision-making between tribes and the U.S. government. Once complete in 2024, it will liberate 400 miles of the Klamath River and its tributaries, allowing them to run free from Oregon through California to the Pacific Ocean.

Sammy Gensaw is the Founding Director of the Ancestral Guard, an activist, and a Yurok Language Speaker. Craig Tucker, founder of Suits and Signs Consulting, brings over 20 years of advocacy experience, particularly in the Klamath Basin, focusing on dam removal and water policy.
