Rendria Labde, co-founder of agritech Magalarva, offers a solution. Inspired by a landfill visit, he founded Magalarva in 2017, utilizing Black Soldier Flies (BSF) as a natural intervention.

At Magalarva, BSF larvae efficiently consume organic waste. These larvae are then harvested and converted into valuable products like fertilizer, fishmeal, or dried protein powder for pets, providing a sustainable solution to waste and protein scarcity.

Despite "adverse effects of climate change" being a common concern for nearly 30 years, a clear legal definition remains elusive. This lack of consensus hinders effective climate policy, including the Paris Agreement, and limits progress.

To address this, Paulo Magalhães, a law researcher and founder of Common Home for Humanity, proposes a new legal status for climate based on the 'common heritage' concept. This approach would reward efforts to restore ecosystems and reduce CO2, moving beyond current mitigation-focused policies. His idea aims to overcome the policy deadlock and foster global climate recovery.
