Many IPCC AR6 headline results regarding Paris targets, net zero, and climate impacts are surprisingly underpinned by climate model emulators. These reduced-complexity models utilize 50-year-old physics, the same science that recently earned a Nobel Prize.

This event will illuminate the future climate evidence essential for effective mitigation and adaptation policy. It will showcase the success of these emulators in translating science into policy, exemplified by IPCC AR6, and explore democratizing simple modeling to better address adaptation needs.

Attendees will receive current evidence on how COP26 ambitions benefit future climate and witness the launch of a democratic online platform for personal climate modeling.
