Today, the bustling Greater Bay Area, home to over 100 million people, faces unprecedented environmental impact. Beneath the waves, the ocean is eerily quiet; fisheries are gone, and vital ecosystems like mangrove forests, seagrasses, oyster, and coral reefs have been destroyed.

Climate change, pandemics, and dwindling resources pose constant threats, with predictions that these global ecosystems may be lost by 2050. This talk explores how we can restore our oceans, regain ecological benefits, and reinvest in our future. Dr. Norris previously worked at the CDC as a health scientist, evaluator, and epidemiologist. She possesses extensive experience in eliminating health disparities for vulnerable populations in the United States and has served as adjunct faculty at several universities. She is also the author of two books, including #KeriOn.
