Static Preview
The climate is changing, sure, but things are changing underwater, too. A quarter of the greenhouse gases we emit are absorbed by the oceans, changing their fundamental chemistry and causing all sorts of problems for the things that live down there. Which ends up causing problems for the couple billion of us who rely on the oceans for food and livelihood (and the not-to-be-discounted wow-factor — that shit is beautiful). Published on Mar 23, 2015 by Grist, a Beacon in the smog.  Grist on YouTube.

Bag It (trailer)
Static Preview

Try going a day without plastic. In this touching and often flat-out-funny film, we follow "everyman" Jeb Berrier as he embarks on a global tour to unravel the complexities of our plastic world. What starts as a film about plastic bags evolves into a wholesale investigation into plastic and its effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our own bodies. We see how our crazy for plastic world has finally caught up to us and what we can do about it. Today. Right now.
