Licypriya Kangujam, a 9-year-old environmental activist from Manipur, advocates for children to be central to the climate change fight. One of the world's youngest climate activists, she addressed global leaders at the 2019 UN Climate Conference (COP25) in Madrid, urging immediate action.

Since 2018, Licypriya has campaigned for India's climate action, advocating for new anti-pollution laws and mandatory climate literacy in schools. Despite her age, she commands global attention, spearheading events and submitting memorandums to the UN Secretary-General.

David Rooney, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Queen's University Belfast, directs the Sustainable Energy Research Group and Bryden Centre.
