About This Collection
Jacqueline Novogratz is the founder and CEO of Acumen Fund, a non-profit global venture fund that uses entrepreneurial approaches to solve the problems of poverty. Acumen invests in entrepreneurs and helps them build a more inclusive world.
The organization's goal is to demonstrate that small amounts of philanthropic capital, combined with business expertise, can lead to sustainable and scalable businesses that improve the lives of the poor. Acumen focuses its investments in sectors like clean energy, agriculture, healthcare, and financial services, aiming to create markets that work for everyone and a world based on dignity.
In addition to its investment activities, Acumen also has an educational arm, Acumen Academy, which provides training and resources to social entrepreneurs and leaders to help them build businesses and create positive change.
