Losang monlam was ordained a Buddhist monk by HH Dalai Lama. For over 10 years he engaged in the Tibetan monastic tradition, residing both in the west and east. ; He has studied and practiced with many masters in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for 20 years. He now lives in the bay area teaching, painting and writing. His work draws upon the world's spiritual traditions allowing the integration of buddhist principles into the cultural and spiritual experience of the individual practitioner.
