Lisa Kristine, a fine arts photographer, talks about how her childhood led to seeking out indigenous knowledge through her photography of people, interconnected as we are, and all sharing the gift of our first breadthe. This short film created by JustTV highlights the Fire Inside Program, an alternative Aboriginal Justice Program in Winnipeg that brought young men & women to the Turtle Lodge this past March. At the Turtle Lodge the youth received their spiritual names, experienced fasting for two days & received traditional teachings through ceremony. In learning and conference settings inter-generational community building is a principle and value of the work Sabine Amend and Doug Cohen especially with youth and students. In this video they address various aspects of leadership from 'what does it all mean' to an alchemy of imagination, the Call of Time, importance of diversity in a diet of perceptual inputs, life long learning and natural leadership.

Sabine and Doug were interviewed by Barry Heidt of Sustainability Action Media (SAM) at the SEED Graduate Institute's Conference, Wisdom from the Origins, September 13-17, 2012 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The conference featured a Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program led by Doug and Sabine.

Ryan Red Corn (Osage) is the co-chairman of NVision, a Native run non-profit youth media organization headquartered in Denver. Red Corn attended the University of Kansas, where he graduated in 2003 with a B.F.A in graphic design.

The social aspects of stereotyping are explored in a New York Times article, It's Not Me, It's You in their Gray Matter Section, October 7, 2012, on the "stereotype threat" the literature on the subject  showing that even alone in an exam room, we hear a chorus of voices appraising, evaluating, passing judgment. And as social creatures, humans are strongly affected by what these voices say." Ryan Red Corn is presenting us with a view of the force of the stereotype threat on his people.
