A birder since his teens, Tykee co-founded Black Birders Week last year after a racist incident. Organized rapidly via social media, the event showcased birding by people of color, generating over 600 million impressions and national press coverage.

Tykee joins the podcast to discuss the campaign's success, the importance of sharing Black experiences beyond trauma narratives, and his plans for this year's Black Birders Week.
