The conversation about the needs of women are met with snide and sometimes out rightly hostile remarks. Culture and religion have given women a construct of submission at all costs. Society has internalized a double standard that allows women to either bow down and accept the status quo, or be treated like outcasts and oddities for daring to stand up and make a statement. How do we push back at the walls society has put up to hold women back from being the best version of who and what they were meant to be? Many people argue that glass ceiling is a myth: a self-perpetuated, self-limiting, and self-sabotaging psychological construct that has been handed over to women of all tribes and ages for decades. In this talk, Audrey Joe-Ezigbo cremates that fallacious postulation. Audrey Joe-Ezeigbo has garnered a wealth of business development and management skills. Her areas of core competence lie in business strategy, management of finance and investments, corporate restructuring and resource optimization. She is co-founder and Executive Director of Falcon Corporation - a leading, privately-held, wholly-indigenous company and a member of the Falcon conglomerate. She sits on the board of several companies, and holds three MBAs and Executive Certifications, one of which certifications is from Harvard Business School. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
