The Global Lifeboat by Wikuki Kingi of New Zealand

Wikuki Kingi was interviewed by Barry Heidt of sustainabletv.org at the Bioneers Annual Conference held in October 2011 in San Rafael, California.  He is a traditional Maori Master Carver of Aotearoa (New Zealand) whose culturally significant masterpieces draw from deep traditional knowledge to express principles of Indigenous sovereignty, identity and sustainability and to comment on the lasting impacts of colonization. An educator and researcher, he is a member of the International Native Science Academy and the Pacific Tribal Elders Council.  Edited by Tom Hopkins of SustainableToday.org.
